11 Dec Welcome Home Golden Rule – Party and Fundraiser a Success!
The Golden Rule enjoyed a warm “welcome home” at a lasagna dinner party held Sunday evening in Manila, California on the Humboldt Bay. The party was attended by about 80 people and after expenses cleared over $2000! THANK YOU!!
Helen Jaccard gave us a slideshow tour of all the places the boat visited on its round-trip journey, and various events organized in honor of her visit….very impressive. Thank you Gerry Condon for taking the pictures and Norman de Vall for taking your boat out on San Francisco Bay so we could get some excellent action shots!
Our table (thanks to Dave Meserve) won the cake auction and paid $75 for the pleasure of eating Nate Lomba’s chocolate stout cake (worth every dollar), then sold off leftover slices to add to event proceeds.
Kingfoot provided live music for the dancers. Great band!
