05 Aug Hiroshima and Nagasaki Commemoration
August 6 and 9 mark 75 years since the United States dropped nuclear bombs on the civilian populations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Golden Rule will sail towards Diamond Head starting at 2 pm, then circle around to sail close to shore at the end of Magic Island from 3:30 to 4:30 pm on August 6 and 9.
People ashore can “see us off” from the boating channel at 2 pm, and welcome us back at 5 pm. There will be a little ceremony at 4 pm – However, we will have to separate into “groups” of 10 or less given the newest coronavirus rules. Hiroshima Nagasaki flyer
