24 Feb Oceanside 2-22 to 24
Captain Chris Appleton, Ren Jacobs and Bob Betts sailed from San Diego to Oceanside on 2-22, arriving at 7 pm about 2 hours after the wind really kicked up.
One huge wave filled the cockpit above the fuel tank vents, causing water to come into the tank. The engine quit about 30 yards from the dock and they drifted safely in.
On the 23rd we emptied the fuel tank, changed the filters and got the engine started. Then we had a fantastic going away party at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Oceanside Harbor! Thank you, VFP San Diego for a great time!
After changing the oil, breakfast, showers, and laundry. Captain Chris, Ren. and Helen Jaccard fueled the tank and jerry cans and headed out to sea. We left the fuel dock at 13:15, with an ultimate destination of Marina Bay Yacht Harbor in San Francisco Bay, Richmond. It wll take us 4 to 6 days.

Posted at 01:30h, 15 MarchHi James,
Thank you for the assistance!
We have a 3D printer, software and data in Tucson. Richard Conroy, who made 3 models with this setup died and I think his widow would be willing to facilitate transfer of it to you.
Please contact me at vfpgoldenruleproject@gmail.com to discuss this idea further.
