31 May Golden Rule Left Humboldt Bay This Morning

It was glassy-smooth at 7:30 am on Tuesday May 31 when the Golden Rule and her new crew cast off from the dock of the Eureka Public Marina. Several volunteers saw her off and the Ajax tug boat followed as she motored down the bay and out to sea.

The crew for this first transit from Humboldt Bay to Portland are Captain Norman Petersen from Seattle, Kent Mitchell from Vancouver Washington, Victoria Sheldon from Eureka, and Michael Gonzalez from Trinidad.
