Reach and Teach Film & Community Gathering

Join us for a special evening with the Golden Rule Peace Boat, a project of Veterans For Peace, as part of its San Francisco Bay voyage for peace, nuclear disarmament, and justice.

Program includes:
Screening of Golden Rule: The Journey for Peace (dir. Nolan Anderson) – a moving new documentary about the historic sailboat that helped spark the worldwide movement against nuclear weapons. (see trailer: Golden Rule YouTube Channel)

Guest Speakers:
Gerry Condon – Veterans For Peace, Golden Rule Committee Chair, raised in San Mateo and Dr. Dylan Spaulding – Senior Scientist, Global Security Program, Union of Concerned Scientists. Dylan will also help crew the Golden Rule back to Humboldt Bay at the end of August.

The Golden Rule has been sailing across the U.S. to raise awareness about the urgent need for nuclear disarmament, peace, and justice, from the 80th anniversaries of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, to militarization in our own cities.
