Long Beach welcomes home the Golden Rule Nuclear Abolition Peace Boat
Golden Rule, a 30-foot ketch out of San Pedro, California, played a key role in the Cold War. Her attempt to sail into the American nuclear bomb test zone in the Pacific in 1958 stirred up enough publicity to help bring about the Limited Test Ban Treaty of 1963.
