13 Sep “Best Sail Ever”
The sail from Port Townsend to Shilshole was “the best sail ever”, according to our skipper, Norm Petersen. Pete Crispell, Mike Hackett, and Michael Gonzalez heartily agreed!
The Golden Rule is in town for the Gala Benefit Party tomorrow night (Wednesday September 14). All day we will give tours of the boat, talk with passersby, and (time and weather permitting) take people sailing from the South Lake Union Park dock.
At 5 pm we move the boat to the Museum of History and Industry, which is right next door to the Center for Wooden Boats, 1010 Valley Street, for the party!
From 5 pm to 6:30 pm, people will gather for food, drink, and a chance to tour the Golden Rule and talk with crew and other supporters.
The Seattle Labor Chorus starts off a fun, educational program at 6:30 in “The Gallery”.
Mike Stern will perform his song, “The Phoenix and the Golden Rule”, which we have adopted as Theme Song
Helen Jaccard will give a slide show about the Golden Rule, her history, mission, recent voyages, and plans for the future.
