30 May Almost Time to Depart from Humboldt Bay!

High winds have delayed our departure, but they are dying down and we look to have a pretty nice sail from Humboldt Bay to Portland.  It looks like we will depart from Eureka Public Marina on Tuesday, May 31 at 6:30 am.  The new captain, Norman Petersen, and the First Mate, Kent Mitchell, have been busy for the past week assuring that lights and wiring are as needed.  Ed Fracker, Chuck DeWitt and Michael Gonzalez have also been busy putting the final touches on the galley, head and rigging.  The crew is busy packing the boat for the journey and is planning to sleep on the boat Monday night.
